Elizabeth (Lizzie) Piazza grew up with the Golden Isles as her home away from home. After marrying Brad here and starting their family, the two laid roots in Glynn County.
My Story
Lizzie’s background is heavily steeped in the arts, design, cultural assets, community and investments. At Port City Partners, she brings her passion and creative expertise to the Historic Downtown Brunswick business and development forefront.
Prior to moving to Coastal Georgia and founding her eponymous art advisory and appraisal company, Piazza Fine Art, Elizabeth spent over 5 years as the New-York based director of a $1BN+ global private collection of contemporary art and design, where she became well-versed in the international art trade. Her primary professional roles included regularly negotiating the purchase and sale of artworks, handling all aspects of commercial and residential collection management. At the same time, she coordinated exhibitions, donations and loans with renowned museums in addition to celebrated artists, art fairs and curators.
Lizzie holds a B.A. in Art History and French from Villanova University, cum laude; an M.A. from Christie’s Education in Modern Art, History of the Art Market and Connoisseurship, magna cum laude; and a certification in Appraisal Studies of Fine and Decorative Art from New York University. Elizabeth is a circle member of ArtTable, the national leadership organization for women in the arts, and an associate of the Appraiser’s Association of America. Lizzie previously served as juror of the Christie’s Emerging Artist prize, fundraising chair of the New York Junior League, and was a founding board member of NJ MoCA.
Within the community, Lizzie co-chairs the Brunswick Mural Project, serves on the board of CASA Glynn and the advisory board of KidsPort Children’s Museum, and is an active volunteer with the Junior League of the Golden Isles.
Rooted in her lifelong love affair of the area, Lizzie is vested in the strategic development of the downtown and riverfront of Historic Brunswick, Georgia. It is here Lizzie will marry her sensibility for art, design, and culture with her passion for family, business development and community. Lizzie’s strengths in business development and community play a vital role in the curating and nurturing of the opportunities that will come with revitalization.
